We work with an english speaking guided based in Asahikawa, Hokkaido's second city. We can offer an unrivaled trip targeting this unbelievably special fish. Huchen (Ito) are one of the rarest fish on the planet and your chances of catching one are fairly high. The trip is limited to between June and September when Japanese legislations allow for this fish to be targetted. They can grow up to huge sizes (1m+) and feeling the adrenaline and fight of catching one of these fish is unrivaled. You also stand a chance of catching various other species and your guide can target these fish in sea and freshwater.
